Healthcare providers who have obtained their diploma outside the EU and wish to apply for a Certificate of Competence will no longer be required to take the AKV test starting from January 1, 2024. After evaluation, it has been decided to remove this test from the procedure. Instead, applicants must submit language proficiency certificates for both Dutch and English directly with their application.
To meet the requirements, applicants must have obtained a Dutch language certificate for reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Additionally, an English language certificate must be obtained specifically for reading.
